Scotland is home to some of the most stunning wilderness in the British Isles. In my youth my parents would often take us on holiday to the North West, I am ever grateful to have had the opportunity to hike the Munros at such a young age.
I like to return to the highlands when possible. In 2009/10 I was working a one year placement in Caithness (NE coast) which is a lovely landscape. It is however flat so I had to travel South or West to the mountains. This gave me a unique opportunity to climb some of the lesser publicised hills as they are so far off the normal tourist trail.
